Description

I feel this romantic detachable ‘Peter Pan’ lace collar crochet pattern is the ultimate hand-crocheted Spring ‘scarf’.  It’s so elegant and beautiful – perfect for Easter, Mothers Day and other Spring Sundays. Yet, it adds a subtle layer of warmth around your neck, without being a complete scarf.  All this, besides being just 100% on trend and in fashion in 2020!

It’s funny that this collar is called ‘Peter Pan’, because to me there is something to sweetly French about this collar. Is that just me?

Trendy?? Oh yes.

While you can find lace ‘Peter Pan’ collars in anthropology museums – they have been around for that long, lace crochet collars are THE trend this year. They turn a simple dress into something more unique and chic. I have even seen a ‘Peter Pan’ collar worn over a strapless summer dress! I guess it is all up to your creativity.

Final Size

The tie-closure means you can adjust it to your dress shape and neck size. Cannot be easier to use.  One size fits most women, but the pattern is easily adjusted should you desire to do so.

Also easily adjusted for a child- size. Once you have grasped the technique and make, you can adjust.

‘Peter Pan’ Lace Collar Crochet Pattern – Yarn Choices

I used a double strand of  sport weight 100% Egyptian mercerised cotton yarn for the collar you see here, and worked with a  G or 4.0mm crochet hook.

However, it’s a yarn stash buster as you don’t need very much. So look what you have that matches the dresses or sweaters that you’d like to jazz up with an elegant collar.

A forgiving ‘Peter Pan’ lace collar crochet pattern that’s easy to adjust.

Pattern Details

The pattern is written in English, using US crochet terminology. Very easy and fast project.
