Description

This fast & easy Fingerless Gloves Knitting Pattern in our online shop is a great knitting gift in it self. And, if you make a pair of mohair for yourself or your loved ones, it tell friends you care! A fast project, great gift!U

Unlike others, this easy-peasy beginners pattern nonetheless has some shaping to it. Most mittens are too wide at the finger section, and this pattern fixes that nicely!

I pop these mitts on Fall days when going for walks or meeting friends at a coffee shop,  to add a  dash of elegance and warmth, but I can still easily text on my phone etc.

Actually, this project so simple and fast, that you can make it while watching your favourite TV show. Start now to have some presents ready, when XMAS or birthdays come around.

Rowan Kidsilk Haze of 70% Mohair and 30% Silk, which is a lace weight yarn.

Alternative: Debbie Bliss Angel with 76% Mohair and 24% Silk, 25g (0.9oz), also a lace/2 ply weight yarn, with similar stitch count. (18 – 24 stitches, 23 – 34 rows to 10cm/4″).

Fingerless Gloves in Mohair’s Easy Knitting Pattern

Knit flat, with needle size 3.00 mm, or US needle size 4, i.e. a bit smaller needle size than is typically recommended for the yarn (3.25 mm) so you’ll get a slightly tighter-woven finish.

Further pattern details, tips and tricks are in the pattern itself.

One size fits all.

More about Gloves

In case you are on the fence between making mittens or fingerless gloves and wonder ‘ What’s the point in fingerless gloves?’. The answer is that fingerless gloves are cool, fashionable and utterly practical.  Like: You can use your phone with them.

What you wear with fingerless gloves depends on the season, but these mittens are bit more elegant, and so you can wear them with a nice jumper, but equally with a work jacket.  Stay tuned. I’ve just finished designing a lovely mohair beret to go with this.
