While plastic crumbcatchers may seem most practical, I always prefered soft cloth items for my darling.

The idea to design this free and easy baby bib pattern came about when a friend brought Joy a purchased burp cloth-bib ~ with the request to make her a couple more baby bibs, just like it.

Joy shares the complete tutorial on how making burb cloths – convertible into baby bibs on her blog. Within that context, she also gives very clear directions on how to sew on snaps.
