:: Ruffle Sofa Slipcover DIY in the Pantone Colors of the Year : Rose Quartz and Serenity Blue ::
Before we get to the DIY-slipcover project let me take introduce this week’s linky party. Thanks, all, for your beautiful projects submitted to date!
I told everyone last week, I would have no new party today because of my move next week, but I’m squeezing one in anyway….
As per always, your party host is Rose, from Fine Craft Guild.com. Please follow me. Here are my social media buttons:
This week’s linky party winner is Penny from Penny’s Treasures. Please follow her. She has been a very loyal party contributor who has shared photos of her absolutely lovely abode with us for years now.
This Week’s Party Feature: Ruffle Sofa Slipcover DIY
I just love the gorgeous romantic textures and pastels of this Ruffle Sofa Slipcover DIY. It reflects my craving for sweet home homeyness.
This close-up look of her romantic sofa pillows demonstrates how well a ruffly bed pillow case can blend with a pastel colored grain sack prints and other textured pillows. And, in particular, note that lovely quilted pillow cover tucked in the back there. I just had to show you that given that I have this free quilting course on this blog, and my interest in smaller quilting projects has been peaked forever as a result of putting that quilting workshop together.
For those of you who don’t know Penny yet, she decorates her entire house in a real romantic manner and updates it frequently to reflect seasons and celebrations throughout the year. After you’ve been at her blog a couple of times, you feel like you’ve been over to have a cup of tea, as you’ve been shown so many lovely details. Yes, it’s all about the details for Penny – like so with her new sofa slipcover with ruffles, which she has sewn herself. While some of us might have made a complete tutorial out of this, Penny simply states she did it as if it was ‘nothing’. She makes no fuss of taking on rather complex home decorating projects and merely highlights how to deal with some of the challenges by noting a quick how-to line to you. Go check it out – here are Penny’s Treasures!
