Today, three Lovely Mothers Day Ideas for you.

1. Lemon Raspberry Cake Recipe

Hail Conny at Hotflash’n and Craft’n. This cake looks absolutely delicious. And judging by Conny’s granddaughter’s facial expressions, it is !! Perfect Cake to make for Mothers Day. I love it. The recipe is from Better Homes & Gardens, http://www.bhg.com/recipe/lemon-raspberry-coffee-cake/

2. Canopy Cover = Upcycled blinds

DIY outdoor furniture

This great expensive DIY ‘outdoor living space’ project is by Joy from Joy’s Jots, Shots & Whatnots.

Mothers Days are typically celebrated outdoors, so this post is quite relevant. I’d love to have my lemon-raspberry cake here, under the canopy of this garden swing bench. Love it. Joy completely redid her bench cover for a song and made it more durable in the process.

3. Lovely Mother’s Day Heart

mothersday_felt-heart

Sweet, sweet, sweet. After all, Mothers Day crafts are meant to be do-able by little crafters, and kids hands sure could make this, or at least, a version of this.

Donata from Donata’s Craft Café shows us how to create a perfect heart shape using circles (I did not even know this trick, as I draw hearts differently). I like her method, because now everyone can make a heart shape. Even those who can not draw.
