A pallet desk? New DIY idea for 2013. We love pallet furniture and this looks super cool, don’t you think?!
The particular pallet desk took 2.5 hours from start to finish, and uses recycled table legs as well. This actually is easy enough to make.
I think this pallet desk looks really, really cool, but to craft on it, might require a thick extra-wide plastic place mat. You see, minimally sanded wood looks cute, but if it tears up your cashmere sweater, you might be less happy with it. So, avoid drama, and prep for the job. Be that computer work or playing with your newly bought inks for your calligraphy course…

Very cool pallet project! Thank you for sharing Rose and have a wonderful week
It looks really cool!!! But at the same time, doesn’t look very practical. I’d be scared to get a splinter from it! Did you treat it in any way? I’ve heard pallet wood can contain toxic chemicals. Or were you familiar with the source of the pallet?
as I emailed to this reader, the best way is to sand it down (cover your mouth/nose with a bandana! and work in a ventilated area), and then to put several coats of sealer onto the wood. Plus, I’d cover the top with a sheet of salvaged glass from an old coffee table or so. You may need to spring for glass cutting and edge smoothing services… But it will be ‘da bomb’!
I absolutely LOVE this! I really like the natural look of it! Thanks so much for the beautiful inspiration! Have a great day!
Very cool!
I’m visiting you today from Sugar Bee. I hope you get a chance to stop by my blog and leave a comment, too!

I. Love. This. This would be great as one of those skinny tables behind a sofa too – so many possibilities!
