HOW TO MAKE AN ORGAMI BUTTERFLY – STEP 7.
Turn your origami work over again. There are two loose flaps sticking upwards. Take each one of them in turn, and press them down on the table. What happens is that a long, thin triangle appears. Give that triangle a nice crease, so that it looks like the right side in the picture. Do both sides.






Would it be possible to make these with material instead. Might you have instructions to do so?
It might work if you glue super-thin fabric onto thin cardboard, and make relatively large butterflies, and spray glue/starch over the final product. Heck, you may even use an iron to create firmer creases. I’m interested to find out if it works.
Alternatively, you could stitch the fabric in place as you go along. That might be more durable in the end.
