Turn over your butterfly-in-the making.  The next fold is to almost make like a boat shape. However, rather than making a giant ‘sail’ like you would when folding a boat, you just let a small triangle stick out that is about one thumb width.

  1. Would it be possible to make these with material instead. Might you have instructions to do so?

  2. It might work if you glue super-thin fabric onto thin cardboard, and make relatively large butterflies, and spray glue/starch over the final product. Heck, you may even use an iron to create firmer creases. I’m interested to find out if it works.

Alternatively, you could stitch the fabric in place as you go along. That might be more durable in the end.

    Good luck!
