I was just over at Darren Rowse’s digital photography site (digital-photography-school.com) to see what is going on technically in the world of digital photography, that would be of interest for my craft crowd here.
Turns out he did a review of the most popular digital cameras in the first quarter of 2009, listing Digital SLRs, Point and Shoot Digital Cameras, Lenses, Accessories and digital photography Books in order of sales.

The Canon Digital Rebel XSi was by far the most popular camera. The next 6- most popular cameras after that were equal in rank. The Canon EOS 5D Mark II barely made it in:
