Sophisticated Vintage Paper Dresses
Making paper dresses has been around for centuries and I have scoured around for some examples to get your creative juices going. Also note that the materials used and their treatment varied over time.
In the ‘20s they used plain crepe paper for the vintage theater costume dress (picture on the left below). However, in the ‘60s paper dresses (see sample dress on the right below) were made with fortified paper which received a coating. This treatment made the paper washable and (almost) waterproof.
