Free Halloween Computer Backgrounds

OK. I thought that I was ‘done’ with digital scrapbooking and design for a while, but I guess not. Yesterday, these two little monsters in the form of a ‘Witchy Witch with Bats’ and a ‘Rather Hissy Cat’ had to be realized by way of FREE TWITTER or COMPUTER BACKGROUNDS.

Like them? I made them not too scary, not too traditional and orangey, but opted for a tat more interesting brown and blue-ish purple. And black, of course. Like my choice of Halloween colors for your background for Twitter, Vista, Myspace or computer desktop ??!!

The designs below are free for personal computer use:

You can upload them as your seasonal Twitter background this month. Or you could use them as the background image for your computer. As you wish.

Free Design Twitter Background: Color Circles

Here is another Free Design Twitter backgrounds. I chose four design variations on a theme of color circles.

My Twitter backgrounds are free for your personal use as a Twitter background, exclusively.

Twitter Background Design Variations

1. The first background version features contemporary pinks, with a dash of green and brown.

2. A bright, happy green Twitter background with bold orange- and blue-colored bubbles that makes you stand out in the crowd, for sure! Good design for Twitter sites relating to kids, for example. The color scheme is gender-neutral.

3. The third background design version uses more contemporary color scheme with purples and teals.

4. The fourth design is a gentler Twitter background with soft pastel color bubbles, that’s quite pretty.

Good for Spring home decorating, feminine or baby -related Twitterers. This design reminds me of old-fashioned children ‘s bedroom wallpaper. Quite cool.

How to Use My Free Twitter Background Design

Click on the thumbnails to see the full designs. When you like a particular background design, right-click it to download the image. In Twitter, upload the image, choose the tiling option, and voila, you’re done with designing the background.

Twitter Design Tips, to help you go from Good to Great Design

Your next step is to adjust your colors scheme of your various other Twitter page design elements: text, links, background of the sidebar, etc. Ideally, choose colors from the color palette that is in the background. Tip for success: ensure a strong contrast between your text background and the text & links.

Note that the Twitter logo is a rather dominantly bright blue, and I sense, its color must be incorporated in either the background or the color scheme of the other page design elements. I tried to give you a hand here in most of my designs, by simply incorporating a sense of that blue within the background design, harmonizing the design elements.

Professional Twitter Backgrounds

I mentioned before that I already obtained my first Professional Twitter Design job, and here is my pro design so far. SpeedEndurance.com at Twitter. I’m still tweaking it a tat, so any suggestions welcome.

I am aiming to design the background to suit various computer screen-sizes simultaneously. It is kind of cool.

My second Free Twitter background for you! Perhaps I’ll call it ‘Spring Delight’ as it features such lovely cherry blossoms.

I just knew it… as soon as I would get going with these Twitter backgrounds, I would not be able to stop making more and more designs… They are so fun to do. Twitter, twitter, twitter ….

Promises, promises…

Yesterday, I promised on Twitter (Follow FreeCRAFT), … and to my husband that I would have some interesting FREE Twitter backgrounds on the blog today.

So far, I’ve done only designs 3: my own at http://twitter.com/freecraft (not yet ’100%’), as well as one featuring butterflies (also still fluttering with that one) and one with delicate apple trees, that together form a delightful orchard. Now, I AM happy with that one.

I’m sure I’ll make a Fall version of it, so check back for other Twitter background designs later…. It would be nice to have a family of designs available, wouldn’t it?!

It sure took some revisions to get this Twitter background right. It has been a long time since I’ve done tiled digital artwork, so that was a lot of homework for me in one day. However, now that it’s done, I can’t wait to see people actually using them. Link love accepted (wink).

As always, my images are copyrighted. To make it explicitly clear: you are only entitled to use this graphic for your own Twitter background. Any other use must be paid. It’s pretty basic, but apparently in this field of ‘digital design’, one must be verrryyy explicit, so I am. (Sorry to bother the honest rest of the craft world, which is so happily and generously sharing and acknowledging each other..)

For professional use, I could customize this apple orchard Twitter background for you, by adding your logo and/or URL, for a small fee, if you wish. Pro Twitter design inquiries welcome.

For personal use, just use the file ‘as is’. Choose the tiling option in Twitter, and voila, you’re done. Looks great hey?!! You will be happily surprised how good it looks.
