Introducing Lisa Leonard. Do you know her jewelry yet?  Well, you’d be delighted to, because she and her jewels are gorgeous. Very hip, very simple, very now, very easy to wear.

 

And Lisa? Lisa is one of those people who you could find creating necklaces in the back of her high school class.  A real person who just loves making things. You can tell by her style and detailing that she’s been at it for a while. However, she told me that she only ‘seriously’ started to make jewelry after her first son was born. Thank goodness she did, as her work is truly lovely.

 

Give-Away: $50 Gift Certificate

When you see Lisa’s work (see showcase below & her website), you probably be as amazed as I am that she’s never taken any formal classes or received special training in jewelry making.  I guess, she made this ‘Believe’ tag for herself…?! Because, that’s what she did: she just believed in her self, AND just went for it!

 

 

Part of Our Creative Community

Lisa aims to create simple, lovely pieces that can be worn with jeans or your little black dress.  She just wants each piece to meaningful and so she allows you to completely customize each piece of jewelry, hand-stamped with your kids’ names or a special phrase or verse.  So that you’ll love to touch your necklace throughout the day and reflect on your husband and your sweet kids. 

Lisa explains:

“Each piece I create is a work of art—hand cut, hammered, polished, drilled and assembled with care. I am inspired by other artists–painters, scrap bookers, clothing designers and poets.  I also love to soak up nature-the sky, the sea, the green hills.  I let all these ideas and images swirl around in my mind and then I create.  When an idea hits me I sketch it out and play until the perfect design comes together.”

 

 

Some of My Favorite Jewels

I want to showcase some of her pieces, i.e. my favorites on her site now:

1.       1.  Finally some really good jewelry for man: husbands, boyfriends and DADS! I love that key ring that says: “my daddy is superhero” (+ kids names). Which father would not like to get that? Tip: If you want to order something for Fathers Day, TODAY is the last day to ensure it will arrive in time.	2. There’s something right about a family tree, a sweet water pearl and kids names…  I don’t know exactly what it is, but it’s a match. btw. There are lots of ‘hearts + custom words’ jewels on her site, and and if you like me are into hearts, you’ll need a bit of dilly-dallying in Lisa’s shop before you can come up with your absolute favorite…
3. I say #3 if I were to win the gift certificate (which I’m not, because YOU are), this is what I would put the money towards: A magic wand! Fancy that ….. I can see this could also easily be an achievement plague/graduation gift, as well as a gift for creating a miracle baby.	4. Numbered Necklaces: birthdays, wedding dates, anniversaries, or just a simple 1, 2, 3 kids. How fun.  Lisa customizes each piece and you can add whatever word you like.

How We Choose Winners

The winner of this giveaway will be randomly selected. Winners are notified via email and are given to 48 hours to respond in order to claim prize. You must respond to your email to claim the prize.  I will probably also announce the winner right here at the bottom of this post in a week’s time. Hopefully, that’s YOU!
