Best Way to Spend (on) Boxing Day? Craft Support for Tsunami Survivors

Today, after our Christmas family get together, I browsed online and remembered the devastating tsunami, the world drama that occurred 5 years ago and that killed approx. 300,000 people in South East Asia. I decided to kick off my involvement with FineCraftGuild.com with a post that would benefit Tsunami survivors.

about Michael

Since Boxing Day is a compulsive shopping day for many North Americans, I thought to bring you some awesome craft & design products by UnCommonGoods (a B corporation who promotes recycled/environmentally and socially responsible products). A small % of their proceeds benefits charities such as the survivors of the Tsunami through world aid organizations.

So, if you HAVE to shop today because it’s Boxing Day, then consider offering support where needed while you’re at it.

Better still, really caring about tsunami survivors does not require a purchase.  You can make a year-end tax deductible gift/direct donation to Americares (or similar aid organizations) who operate in South East Asia.
